Register For A Farm Class
While our classes strive to cover many aspects of farming, they will always circle back to soil health and its role in creating healthy food for us to eat (as well as a balanced, healthy environment).
Delight in meeting the members of the honeybee hive. We’ll talk about the queen, workers and drones, what they look like, their roles and jobs and how they work together to make that magical liquid we love to share…HONEY!
We’ll talk all about bee keeping! Following the seasons of the bees, we’ll talk about how a bee keeper anticipates the needs of the hive while keeping themselves safe with the proper equipment. We’ll also talk about the way honey is harvested from the hive and it’s many uses.
It’s ALIVE! There is an abundance of life happening in the soil all around us. This class dives deep, talking about the soil food web and how we can interact with soil in a way the helps it grow nutrient dense food and fiber for us to enjoy.
General Information About Our Classes
As a regenerative educational farm, we have 2 main goals, to grow nutritious food in a soil-conscious way, and to show people, especially kids, why it’s important to do so.
There will be a few animals to cuddle, there’s room to play and we aim to have lots of fun, but our classes’ primary intentions are education and to connect people with the food growing in the ground.
